If you were born in the 70's or the 80's in India, then no doubt you would have been forced to watch Doordarshan (that's Indian National TV for the non-Indians who visit my website). And if you did watch Doordarshan, then you surely will remember the educational programs that used to be aired once in a while. Actually it used to be more than once in a while, it was more like every hour on the hour. Anyway to get to the point, if you remember the one that went


Suraj ek
Chanda ek
tare Anek


Again the translation being - "There is one sun, there is one moon and there are several stars"
The whole point of this was to teach kids the the meaning of the word "several" and also towards the end point out that there is strength in unity. Anyway, I was emailed a copy of the video. God knows who managed to get hold of this one coz it is not aired anymore. You can download your own copy from here. Enjoy and reminisce.

This video is simply great and as you have rightly said we grew up on this video....i wonder why it is not shown now when it is the need of the hour....
